Privacy Friendly Analytics And How To Block My Requests

By being fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA and PECR I’m not required to tell you I’m tracking certain events because I cannot personally identify anyone, but for the sake of transparency I want to tell you.

The analytics platform I use is Plausible and it sits behind the domain name analytics.rubonnek.com.

Certain content blockers such as uBlock also block requests to domain names if the word analytics is found in them so feel free to use that browser addon if you’d like to block the requests. At some point I plan to post HTML5 games in this website and that will also block certain game events from being sent.

I will also be posting native builds for several platforms and if you’d still like to block the analytics requests for those you will need to have analytics.rubonnek.com blocked in your DNS server by setting it to, say, IP address 0.0.0.0 for example.
